WISP Giveaway 2018 – Results
For over three weeks starting April 28th, 2018, the unique WISP Giveaway 2018 event attracted attention from WISPs around the world. And why not!? All WISPs had to do to get seven confirmed giveaways and a chance to win a $2,000 grand prize was visit the official website of WISP Giveaway and sign up with their email and other contact information!
Anyone who signed up was a guaranteed winner, as each received one confirmed giveaway from each of our participating sponsors.
Day 1 of the giveaway was an inspiring e-book from Wisper University
The prize on Day 2 was a free 30-minute credit and DNB consult from Ritalia Funding
Day 3 included a set of 5 customizable WISP marketing templates from Ping Marketing
On Day 4, a special $100 credit for new Sonar customers was available
Day 5 offered free setup worth $1,500-$5,000 from Argo Contact Center
On Day 6, the prize was a free trial and $250 credit from Preseem for new customers
Day 7 was a $10 web coupon from DoubleRadius
The excitement was maintained by all seven vendor sponsors via their email, website and social media channels, leading to a massive buzz about the event across online WISP communities, Facebook groups and pages.
The grand prize package was in itself a big attraction. After all, it was a unique amalgamation of practical WISP gifts like a ticket to WISPAPALOOZA and some cool gadgets like an Apple iPad!
What Was in the Grand Prize?
Worth over $2,000, the grand prize package in the first-ever WISP Giveaway included:

- One conference ticket to WISPAPALOOZA 2018 in Las Vegas
- Amazon Tap – Alexa-Enabled Portable Bluetooth Speaker
- Customized box of premium cigars with company rings
- Amazon Echo Dot
- Free Wisper University session (valid on the marketing, tech support or installer class up to $999)
- 32-Inch 720p Roku Smart LED TV
How Many WISPs Participated?
More than 435 participants joined the online giveaway event, including 405 verified WISPs!
This represented 16 countries including the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, South Africa, Ireland, Ghana, Spain, India and even Nepal!
Most Importantly, Who Won?
On June 15th, 2018, representatives from all sponsoring vendors joined a conference call to randomly draw the winner of the first-ever WISP Giveaway event.
The lucky winner was Cody Christensen from Affinity Technology Solutions, a young and growing WISP from Pocatello, Idaho who took home the grand prize package.
Over the next couple of weeks, Cody will receive all the grand prizes in his mailbox or via e-mail. Congratulations, Cody!
